Morethan40.co.uk
is a new online radio station bringing you some of the most fantastic music
that you can no longer get on today’s radio dial.
Created
by the children of the sixties, broadcasters who have worked in local,
national and international radio with a real passion for this music,
Morethan40.co.uk is aimed at
the over forties and beyond, those who were born and brought up in the music
revolutions of the fifties and sixties through the blossoming of the varied
musical styles of the seventies and eighties.
Throughout
the daytime Morethan40 plays non-stop great songs, in a formula that has
already made the station unmissable for those who have discovered it online.
From the Beatles and the Beach Boys, to the Eagles and Queen, and the best
of recent decades such as Phil Collins, Paul Simon and Simply Red, the top
tunes of more than four decades are played across the day whilst evenings
and weekends are positively bursting with musical gems.
Every
weeknight from 7pm radio hero Jeff Harris features some of the greatest hits
of the Seventies, followed by Dave Jamieson broadcasting live from Spain
with an hour of the same form the Eighties. At 9pm John MacKenzie wheels in
his Wurlitzer live from Dubai, featuring two hours of Fifties and Sixties on
his “Giant Jukebox”.
At
the weekend UK radio veteran and former Radio Luxembourg DJ Mike Hollis
presents some of the best soul music of all time with “Souled Out” whilst
“Lost 45s” resurrects the tunes that should never have been forgotten.
The station’s music gurus are constantly expanding
and
adding to the music selection. They are always searching their music
archives whilst staying on the lookout for new artists that reflect the same
quality and style as the favourites from past eras.
Morethan40 thrives on listener interaction and always considers suggestions for songs and artists from the top decades. Whether you’re at home or at work it’s easy to listen and with the station’s web player you can keep listening whilst doing other things like browsing or posting on Facebook. There’s also a mobile app which means Morethan40 can always be with you!
